TELL CONGRESS TO STOP THE CDC
Millions of American men were subjected to a medical procedure that they NEVER would have chosen for themselves – if they had the choice. Instead, circumcision was forced on them. The circumcision rates have been dropping in American as more people become aware that genital cutting is unnecessary and harmful.
Now the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is calling for doctors to tell the parents of male infants, children and adolescents that circumcision has been found to reduce the transmission to men of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The CDC wants to encourage parents to have their children circumcised, and to perpetuate the cycle of genital cutting in America. In order to facilitate this misguided goal, the CDC is attempting to publish and release these guidelines to the American public in 2015.
In its proposed policy, the CDC has given mere lip service to the ethical issues with forced genital cutting. With our petition, we seek to inform legislative leaders in the Congressional Subcommittee that oversees the CDC that many circumcised men are extremely dissatisfied over what was done to them. Many legislators may be unaware of the number of people opposed to circumcision. Our petition will help to change that.

The CDC’s fraudulent circumcision proposal would needlessly damage countless individual American boys and men physically, psychologically and sexually.
It would damage American families, first because circumcision interferes with breastfeeding and so mother-child bonding, second because a boy often feels betrayed when he discovers his parents had allowed part of his penis to be amputated without bothering to find out if that’s what he wanted, and third because that sense of betrayal may continue into adulthood and lead him to become estranged from his parents for life.
It would damage American’s trust in their government because, worse than simply being an obvious fraud, it is a vicious assault on American citizens by an agency of the federal government.
It can also be seen an existential threat to the USA because we may not be able to count on the young men violated by such a policy to rise to the defense of the nation that so cruelly violated them.
I am an Intact fully grown Adult Male and this Is has to be the craziest thing I have ever heard of. My brothers, Father, Grandfather and all males In my family were all left Intact the way It should be. Why In America do you keep going after Infants Genitals? I have never not once had any of these so called problems with my foreskin and neither has anyone In my family. The rest of the world just In case you didn’t know thinks Americans are out of their minds for doing this to there children. It’s a Barbaric practice that should be outlawed and not promoted and paid for. Let someone try and take mine from me and see what happens , I’m not and Infant and I will say NO and I will fight back.

I am a super-liberal Democrat, but it seems to me that a truly conservative Congress should understand that government should NOT be promoting such an invasive, unnecessary, harmful, and economically wasteful practice such as circumcision. Please protect the right TO BE LEFT ALONE!!
Circumcision is an elective cosmetic procedure that should not be performed without the patient’s consent. Infants cannot consent, therefore it should not be allowed. The foreskin has many sexual and health benefits and should never be removed unless an adult male decides to undergo the procedure willingly for cosmetic reasons. No medical organization should be authorized to recommend routine infant circumcision in any way. In fact, circumcision on a minor should be made illegal, just as it is for a female. Equal rights and bodily integrity for all.
Have you considered starting a parallel petition on avaaz.org or change.org as well? Your efforts are absolutely commendable, but it would be a shame if tens of thousands of would-be signers never even found out about this simply because they never found the right web page…

If circumcision really reduced HIV as the CDC claims, then why does the USA, which has the highest percentage of circumcised males in the developed world, have the highest rate of HIV in the developed world? To reduce HIV and other STDs, condoms and education are the answer; circumcision is not the answer. Routine infant circumcision is forced genital cutting. How can the USA lecture countries in the developing world about the evils of female genital cutting while recommending the mutilation of the genitals of its own helpless infant boys? Circumcision is elective cosmetic surgery. An infant cannot give informed consent to such a procedure; therefore, it is unethical to recommend it. A foreskin is not a birth defect.

It didn’t work In Africa and It didn’t work here seeing that America and Africa have the highest rates of HIV and continue to rise even after they went there with Bill Gates and circumcised like mad men on a witch hunt and spent millions on top of millions doing It.

When Australia discontinued routine circumcision four decades ago, their infant health rates improved including their infant mortality rate, which declined. Australia has never looked back and still enjoys exceptional infant health. In addition Australian males have far lower rates of HIV and STIs than US males. America also suffers a 50% higher infant mortality rate than there comrades down under.
Australia shares incredibly similar cultural values, population diversity, wealth and medical systems to the US. Why not learn from them and emulate their success, rather than instigate failed initiatives that were discontinued their years ago?
No doubt more and more American women are early on in the dating process requesting the man’s circumcision status. And those dumped in the Rejects Bin are forced to face the humiliating reality in its unvarnished horror. They are simply unable to have sex with a woman in anything close to a normal way. They sport the partial, man-made, desexualized, emasculated, stupidly primal American penis, and if in infancy they were restrained and forced to undergo this senseless, violent, shameful, nature-insulting, dignity-robbing, dehumanizing and degrading anti-human practice then they have never known the joys and sexual sensations that only their whole, Intact, natural [not circumcised, not sexually mutilated] rivals know. Their primary sex organ — the penis, not the brain — was surgically reduced and permanently damaged anatomically, neurologically and physiologically, drastically and shamelessly in every way. Like a fly with wings clipped, the circumcised male must figure out ways to compensate for his gross core deficiency. His freshly birthed body was tortured; his manhood was severed and stolen; the stripped down penis he was allowed to keep is lacking all magic, easily replaced by a cheap toy dildo. Not effortlessly, not by default will women find him a complete and satisfying lover.

Circumcision has been claimed to cure a myriad of health issues for about 125 years, such as curing crippled legs, presenting tuberculosis , epilepsy, cancer in both the male and female which as been proven false but is still being touted by some, It has been promoted as preventing the accumulation of that dreaded smegma which is claimed to cause cancer and is another disproven fallacy bur smegma is also present in the female, so why are we not cutting the labia’s of our female infants also to supposedly prevent this horrible accumulation of this plague causing smegma???
Did you know male foreskins are sold commercially to cosmetic companies to manufacture supposedly anti ageing creams marketed to women?? I learned that while watching the Oprah show and saw women giggling like little girls because they were smearing some cream potion made from forcibly removed parts of male infant pansies. I was appalled by this!!!
This nonsense has to stop and the exploitation of parents of infant males, to goad them into allowing this butchery solely for the enhancement of hospital and doctor revenue stream and that of the cosmetic industry.
The fact that female circumcision is considered a human rights violation, yet male circumcision is practiced in “civilized” countries is absurd. The fact of the matter is, circumcision is a medically unnecessary procedure done to unconsenting children. The same way you would not give a baby a nose job, or breast implants, you should not remove a part of a baby that is both healthy and viable tissue.

The issue of routine infant circumcision in the USA is FAR worse than the effects on the individual infant!

It is time to STOP cutting newborn babies for NO “good” reason!
– much higher numbers of “reported” rape and other sexual violence in the U. S. than in Europe (as much as SEVEN TIMES higher!)
– an over-“sexualized” society in general on the one hand, while “frowning” on things like breastfeeding in public on the other hand
– things like a six-year-old boy getting suspended from school for “sexual harassment”, after giving his female class-mate an innocent KISS ON THE CHEEK
– the U. S. spending BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of dollars on the military (WAY more than all of Europe combined!), which is nothing more than a very poor attempt at re-claiming the feeling of power, value and self-worth that was forcefully CHOPPED off the end of as many as 80% of American INFANTS’ penises at the height of the Cold War (and continues at this rate in SOME States);
– NOTE specifically the similarity between a nuclear warhead and the “naked” glans of a circumcised penis, and the USA’s obsession with their military and guns in general
– the endless “war on terrorism” which is nothing more than an acting out against the INTERNAL TERROR, utter powerlessness and infantile rage that EVERY baby must surely FEEL during the “procedure”; fighting against “terrorists” who ALSO MUTILATE their own boys’ genitals
– the “revenge” on mother – ravaging, raping and plundering MOTHER Earth like none other – in general, and “neglecting” mothers specifically in the USA, ie – NO governmental maternity care whatsoever, as compared to up to THREE YEARS PAID MATERNITY LEAVE in some European countries

All children, regardless of gender, culture or parental religion, have a fundamental right to keep all their healthy, functional genitalia. Since an infant is incapable of religious beliefs, imposing an irreversible body alteration on him violates the freedom to choose his own religion as an adult. It differs from education, which can be changed. My body belongs to me!
Circumcision of a boy who cannot defend himself is the ultimate violation of human rights.

The health stories are all LIES. There IS NO BENEFIT WITH CIRCUMCISION.
I am an american 25 year old man and circumcision imposed on me from infancy has robbed me of most of the fine touch sensation from my penis. i have difficulty controlling my orgasms and frequently cannot achieve one while i am with my partner. the pleasurable sensations quickly fade away until i am left feeling the warmth, moisture, and movement, but nothing building to an orgasm. this puts a strain on our sex lives and relationship.
every day i wake up and have to swallow the bitter facts of my existence in this body that will never know the basic pleasures of a whole set of genitals. my frustration and sadness over this tends to consume my thoughts. i am forced to look at my ugly scarring and dried out bare glans every time i pee or shower or get intimate. my only realistic option is to lengthen the remaining skin which i do with a tension device strapped to my leg. while i am grateful this option exists at the same time i am upset that i have to do this at all in order to create an imitation of a piece of me i was born with. it can be uncomfortable and frustrating to keep up with. i have lost so much skin that this process could take me three to five+ years. the end result of foreskin restoration cannot make up for my genital mutilation and entire youth spent with this handicapped sexuality.
it is mentally exhausting trying to come to terms with this. the heights of human pleasure that much of the world can experience are a physical impossibility for me. i feel inferior to intact men and women and envious of their natural genitals and the pleasures they get from them. i am outraged that i was treated like some pet or farm animal someone could cut parts off of to make more manageable. i did not consent to circumcision, but i have to live with the consequences for the entirety of my one and only life. the most sensitive, pleasurable, intimate, and special part of my body was amputated shortly after birth for no good reason at all. i am furious.
Please stop the American family from being ruined by circumcision.
Circumcising baby girls is illegal. It should also be illegal to circumcise baby boys.
Do not cut. We need our foreskins. They are just natural and give us more sensitive & awesome feelings
