On Tuesday May 3rd, Intaction & the Health Equality Campaign are leading intactivists to a full day of meetings with N.Y.S. legislators and their staffers in Albany at the Legislative Office Building/State Capitol.

This is a FIRST TIME EVER opportunity for intactivists to lobby our legislators IN PERSON with our proposals. Our proposals involve reducing Medicaid/insurance funding, enhancing informed consent, & establishment of a “Circumcision Victims Compensation Fund.”

This lobbying trip is part of an ongoing coordinated campaign by Intaction. We can’t stress how important this event is to increase the visibility of our cause. The legislators are unaware infant circumcision is even an issue for many people. They need to hear that there is public support for greater regulation.

Keep in mind all special interest groups, advocacy causes, and others with business before the State make this journey. If we want change in NYS healthcare policy, we have to go to the policy makers.
